Welcome to Red Lake-Madsen Public School

Red Lake-Madsen Public School (RLMPS) is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school located in the heart of Red Lake. RLMPS proudly serves the communities of Red Lake, Madsen, Starratt-Olsen, and neighbouring Northern First Nation communities.

At RLMPS, we foster a culture of belonging, respect, and high expectations, ensuring that every student is supported in their journey toward success. Rooted in the Seven Grandfather Teachings – Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, and Truth—we cultivate a school environment where students and staff learn from one another, embrace diversity, and build meaningful connections.

Our Kindergarten program is strength-based and student-centered, providing a safe and nurturing foundation for lifelong learning. We believe in empowering our youngest learners to take risks, explore, and grow in an environment where they feel valued and supported.

As a school community, we actively engage student voice in shaping a positive school culture and work collaboratively to create safe, inclusive learning spaces where every child can thrive. We are dedicated to fostering strong connections between our students, families, and the broader community.

Above all, we love our students. We are grateful for our families and community partners and their ongoing support as we nurture confident, capable learners.

We invite you to visit us and experience the vibrant learning environment at Red Lake-Madsen Public School.
